Produced by the radical reaction of hr-pib 1000 and maleic anhydride. PIBSA is commonly used as an intermediate in the manufacture of oil-soluble dispersants for lubricating oil applications and in the manufacturing of emulsifiers for various applications, including explosives and metalworking.
